Working to save stray dogs in the North East
Dogs are man's best friend, their love is unconditional so before buying a dog or puppy please consider adopting a rescue dog that needs a new home. On our website you will find a wide variety of dogs and puppies that need a good loving home.
We are small registered charity in the North East of England who depend completely on public donations to rescue unwanted dogs, mainly from the dog pounds .We are all volunteers who are passionate about rescue dogs and every penny raised goes towards their care.

Beryl Nunn who is one of our fantastic supporters is taking part in the 10K Fun Run Middlesbrough on Sunday 5th September. The race will begin in Acklam. All money raised by Beryl will go directly to the care of our rescue dogs needing loving homes. If you can help please contact Jenny on 01287 619422 or by Email. If you are at the race please cheer her on, I am sure this will help.

Finn needs a home soon, please can you help.
This boy is a handsome rough coated lurcher aged 4yrs.
He is excellent with people and has a nice quiet attitude in the house. He will walk quietly on the lead and stay by your side but for some reason he does not like some other dogs. We have tried to analyze why but to no avail, it may be because of a kennel environment. Because of this he really needs to be the only dog in a home. Ideally someone who enjoys long walks and then lazy times on a sofa.
If you can help please ring Margaret on 01642 488667 or contact us by email

It is our viewing of the dogs needing homes at Saltburn Bandstand on Saturday 28th August 10.0am to 12. We would be happy to see friends old and new, refreshments available and a tombola. We have a few long stay dogs who really need a home so if you are considering a rescue dog please do come along and see us. We will be there between 10am-12.00
It is quite stressful for the dogs as we collect them from the kennels and then bring them to a place where there are lots of other dogs and people.
Sometimes they do not show themselves well, if you are thinking of having a dog please do remember this, it may be just the dog for you.
Please do keep checking our we need a home page.
On the desperate dogs page we show you the dogs who have been with us for a long time, they are just waiting for that right person, and really need that wonderful home to come along.
Thank you to all our wonderful supporters who came to our fun dog show today. The weather was kind to us and it was lovely to see friends old and new. We raised approx.£1500, every penny will go to care for our dogs in rescue and needing homes.
A very big thank you to our volunteers who work hard in the kitchen as they miss the fun seeing the dogs and are not seen!
Pictures of the event will shortly be on our events gallery but if any one would like a photo please email me.
Thanks every one.

I was all skin and bone,
I was lost and forgotten
on the streets all alone.
A poem by Anne Taylor. July 2010
Have you two hours to spare on a Wednesday afternoon 2-4pm. Our rescue dogs in the kennels do enjoy their walks, we aim to take them all out so it would be marvelous if their walks could be longer. Could you come along and meet us and the dogs, enjoy the walks and really help the dogs. If you can help please phone Carol on 01642 317163 or Jenny on 01287 619422.
Why not look at Dog Rescue they do similar work to SOS and this is a new site aimed at helping home dogs that have been in rescue for sometime.
